  • World Competitiveness Ranking: Malaysia is ranked 34th globally in 2024, dropping seven places from the previous year.

  • Asia-Pacific Competitiveness: Malaysia is 10th in the Asia-Pacific region, falling from 6th place in 2023.

  • ASEAN Competitiveness: Malaysia is 4th in ASEAN, behind Singapore, Thailand, and Indonesia.

  • QS World University Rankings 2025: Universiti Malaya (UM) is ranked #60, making it the highest-ranked Malaysian university.

  • Times Higher Education (THE) Rankings: Universiti Teknologi Petronas is ranked 201–250, followed by University of Malaya at 251–300.

  • Graduate Employability: Sunway University has been ranked Malaysia’s No.1 in graduate employability for four consecutive years.

  • Employers' Choice Universities: Universiti Malaya (UM), Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM), Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), and Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM) are among the top choices for employers.
